The charges for telephone line rental and calls
made using the TXC service are:
Effective Telephone Line Rental: $20.00 per
month (the telephone line rental is included in
the monthly ADSL2+ access fee) no line rental is
paid to Telstra or any other previous service
provider).
Local calls $0.19 cents (untimed)
National calls $0.07 cents per minute/ 27cent
connection charge
Calls to mobiles $0.27 cents per minute/ 27cent

Calls to 13/1300 numbers $0.27cents per call
Calls to Directory Assistance 1223 are $0.85c

Calls to 1900 numbers are not available with

Telephone Line Features
There are ten features that are selectable by
the customer on the Optus telephone line rental
service.
There are seven no charge features:

Caller ID (displayed on end user’s phone) -

Competitive Comparison
TXC’s ‘bundled‘ telephone line monthly charge at
an effective $25.00 per month is at a very, very
low charge but it is also supported by very,
very low call costs.
A key feature of the TXC call costs is that they
have a comparatively low call connection charge
while all other providers of these services
charge up to 39 cents each time you make a
mobile or STD or ISD call.
When you consider that around 60% of the calls
you make to such numbers last less than 30
seconds (because of message bank or answering
service systems) TXC’s call charges are even
lower than might at first appear.
